The path here

Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Josh Kon built and operated businesses in Florida and several other states before practicing law. He learned what a payroll feels like, what a broken contract costs, and what a lawsuit does to an operating company — from the client's chair, years before he sat in counsel's. That is why the firm's advice is measured in commercial terms first: a strategy that wins the motion but bleeds the business is not a win.

As a litigator he has led trial strategy across commercial litigation, real estate, partnership, professional liability, and trust-and-estate disputes — moving cases from pre-suit negotiation through trial, appeal, and collection. The pattern across those years is consistent: the harder and more tangled the matter, the more likely it landed on his desk.

How the firm carries a case

Very few people arrive at a litigator’s office on a good day. A partnership that was also a friendship. An estate turning into a fight among children. Money that was supposed to be safe. The legal question is usually the smaller half of what someone carries through the door.

So the firm is hired to end problems, not to manage them indefinitely: every step either builds leverage or gets cut. What can be resolved without a fight is. What has to be fought is fought without putting a client through more of it than the matter actually requires. And from the day the engagement is signed, the deadlines, the strategy and the worry belong to the firm. Clients are kept plainly informed, and are never left holding the weight alone.

Beyond the courtroom

T4 Business Halacha Initiative

Since 2022, Josh has co-founded and led the T4 Business Halacha Initiative with the North Miami Beach Kollel — a weekly program on the intersection of Jewish law and modern business, free to attend, with hundreds of recorded classes and CLE credit available for attorneys. He has chaired sessions at the national H3 Business Halacha Summit in Chicago, before an audience of more than a thousand. It reflects the same conviction the practice runs on: that commerce is at its best when it is both sound and principled.

Alongside it, a good deal of quieter work: helping people in the community who need a hand and cannot pay for one, and lending time to the institutions that hold the place together. He is a family man, a husband and a father of five, in Miami.
